About

The Aldersgate Room is a striking event space ingrained with the rich heritage of Central Hall Westminster. Named after the street where Methodist founder John Wesley had his pivotal ‘Aldersgate experience’, where he described feeling his heart ‘strangely warmed’, widely considered a turning point in the founding of Methodism. The room carries that same sense of significance and history, while offering a versatile and beautifully appointed setting for a wide range of events.

It holds up to 250 people in reception or theatre style, for a range of events such as meetings, product launches and receptions, and can be used for exhibitions. Its distinctive décor is made up of both modern and period features. These include decorative alcoves, vaulted ceilings, bespoke chandeliers, a glass-panelled conservatory, and gallery-style track lighting throughout. These features give the room warmth and character that set it apart from more conventional event spaces.

The room can be configured in a variety of layouts to suit your event, including cabaret, banquet, and boardroom styles. Our experienced events team will work with you to determine the best setup for your needs, ensuring the space feels tailored to your event.

The Aldersgate Room is located on the Lower Ground Floor, providing easy access for delegates and guests at awards, seminars, or meetings.

Our Westminster location makes it easy for guests to find us. Situated opposite Westminster Abbey, we are just moments from Westminster Underground station and within easy reach of Victoria and St James’s Park stations, making us accessible from across London and beyond.
