Objective
The Business Leader Summit 2026 set out to create an inspiring environment where senior leaders could exchange ideas, gain practical insights and build meaningful connections to support ongoing business and career growth.
Following a successful event the previous year, organisers chose to return to Central Hall Westminster, recognising their ability to host a large-scale plenary alongside multiple breakout sessions in close proximity — supporting a programme that balanced high-level discussions with more focused, interactive formats.
Delivering a seamless delegate experience was central to the event’s design. The programme combined structured content with opportunities for networking, supported by thoughtfully planned catering throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch and an evening drinks reception t, designed to encourage networking amongst attendees and other business leaders.
Another priority was to provide a professional and inspiring setting for a line-up of high-profile speakers, including Stuart Machin, CEO of Marks & Spencer, Mark Slack, Co-founder and CMO of CMR Surgical and Richard Harpin, Founder of HomeServe. Ensuring that production quality, visual presentation and the overall delegate experience reflected the calibre of speakers was essential.
Execution
The summit made full use of Central Hall Westminster’s flexible event spaces to deliver a dynamic and engaging programme.
The Great Hall served as the focal point of the event, configured in a theatre-style layout for keynote sessions and panel discussions. Its scale and architectural presence provided an impactful setting for the day’s central content.
The Lecture Hall and Library was utilised as an exhibition space, providing exhibitors and sponsors with a dedicated area to showcase their brands, products and services while encouraging delegate interaction, networking and engagement throughout the event.
The Main Foyer and staircase were configured to support delegate arrival, incorporating bag check, registration and check-in processes to ensure a smooth, efficient and welcoming entry experience. This carefully managed setup helped streamline guest flow, minimise congestion and create a professional first impression for attendees from the moment they arrived.
Breakout sessions were hosted across the George Thomas, Dinsdale Young, Robert Perks and William Sangster rooms, with a mix of theatre and roundtable formats supporting a variety of session styles.
Catering was integrated throughout the day to encourage interaction and ensuring guests were refreshed and engaged. Delegates were welcomed with breakfast on arrival, followed by a standing buffet lunch designed to facilitate networking. The day concluded with drinks and canapés held in the Lecture Hall & Library.
Speaker management and media activity were carefully coordinated. The President’s Room acted as a dedicated VIP space for speaker preparation, while additional rooms supported event operations and media interviews.
Audiovisual production played a key role in delivering a polished and engaging experience. The Great Hall featured a main screen supported by additional displays to ensure clear visibility for all attendees. Breakout spaces were fully equipped with presentation and audio facilities, with all technical delivery managed by in-house AV partner White Light, ensuring consistency across the venue.

The Business Leader Summit 2026 was delivered successfully, providing a high-quality and memorable experience for both speakers and delegates.
