Introducing Yasmin Barnett, Head of Events at Central Hall Westminster
A very warm welcome to Yasmin Barnett, who joined us as Head of Events. Yasmin is well travelled after visiting many countries in her previous role as Head of Events for the British Educational Suppliers Association. In her varied post, organising over 180 events a year, she visited many interesting countries, including Dubai, China, Beijing, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
So we’re delighted that she’s come home to work in her own capital city, no doubt lured by arguably the best office view in London.
Yasmin manages a team of five events staff and four venue support team members and oversees all the planning and delivery of the busy events department.
“Central Hall Westminster is such an amazing landmark in the local area, and the architecture is quite stunning,” she says, “I am really enjoying getting stuck into all kinds of events here, from graduations and concerts to conferences and even the odd fashion show.”
Yasmin enjoys the versatility of working in such a large historic building with rooms of all shapes and sizes and loves coming across a secret space or two. She also enjoys getting to know the team and their various roles that keep Central Hall Westminster running smoothly.
“Despite it being an older building, it is incredibly flexible and able to host so many different types of events – the possibilities are limitless,” she adds.
Living in South London, Yasmin likes to make the most of what the capital has to offer in her spare time. She’s currently having a go at creating terrariums and enjoys attending experiential events.
Yasmin is looking forward to developing her team, who are just as passionate as she is about the events industry. She is a fantastic addition to the events team at Central Hall Westminster.
