Central Hall Westminster to host Cat Stevens for charity concert
Central Hall Westminster today announces that singer-song writer Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, will be performing an exclusive live concert on the 14th June.
The charity concert will support causes that help refugees and coincides with the release of the artist’s new single. Tickets to the event at the iconic venue, overlooking Big Ben, went live on Thursday, 2nd June.
Additionally, the London based venue has increased the capacity in the Great Hall from 2,200 to 2,400 for standing concerts to attract further bookings from concert organisers. Central Hall currently attracts a number of high profile concert bookings, including the prestigious BBC New Year’s event, with performances from Bryan Adams, Queen and Gary Barlow.
Paul Southern, Managing Director at Central Hall Westminster, comments: “We are looking forward to hosting Yusuf Islam and supporting such an important cause at Central Hall. It has been an exciting year for us as we are beginning to see an increased interest in concert bookings and are hoping to drive further business through the increased capacity in the Great Hall.”
