Central Hall Westminster to deconstruct holographic and projection mapping technology at International Confex
Central Hall Westminster will be running a panel discussion at International Confex next week, deconstructing holographic and projection mapping technology as part of its Event Technology Challenged campaign.
A panel of experts, including Ian O’Connell of world-leading holographic projection technology specialist Musion Events, Matt Green of Broadsword Production Group and Robin Purslow, Managing Director of Eclipse Presentations, will discuss the logistical and financial implications of these emerging technologies and look at how event professionals can begin to bridge the gap between everyday events and game-changing tech. The discussion will take place in the Technology Theatre at 12:15pm on Wednesday 18th February 2015.
The session will be chaired by Central Hall’s Maria Schuett, who is leading the ‘Event Technology Challenged’ campaign, focused on exploring how interaction and experience at events can be improved by technology. Schuett comments, “In 2014 we hosted our ‘Meet The Future: Event Technology Explored’ conference, which included impressive examples of both projection mapping and holographic technology. With this panel at Confex we are looking to get down to the bare bones of the issue and discuss to what extent this new tech will impact the way we deliver events and what is actually required to make it happen. We’ll be drawing on practical examples and will include a video re-cap of what delegates saw at the 2014 conference.”
Liz Agostini, International Confex Event Director, adds: “There is no doubt that holographic and projection mapping technology sit firmly at the forefront of event technology and that both of these completely re-define the potential of tech within events.
“It’s important that our mindset as organisers keeps pace with galloping technology and that we are prepared to be bold and innovative. This discussion is therefore a must-attend for all organisers who should be seeking to de-mystify, embrace and incorporate these mind-blowing developments into their events”.
As part of the Event Technology Challenged campaign, Central Hall will also be hosting an experiential event technology conference at the venue on 9th June 2015. More details can be found here http://www.c-h-w.com/future.
