Record numbers attend Embassy Expo at Central Hall
Central Hall Westminster, 27 March 2013
A record number of diplomats attended the fifth annual Embassy Event Expo at Central Hall Westminster, central London’s largest Conference and Events Venue. The Embassy Expo attracted over 100 nations to Central Hall Westminster last week, (Fact- this is more than double that were present at the first-ever meeting of the United Nations which was also hosted at Central Hall Westminster in 1946).
With a number of key international summits taking place in Britain in 2013, Embassy Group Director Elizabeth Stewart said: “London is the meeting place of the world – which makes it an exciting place to be a diplomat, but also a very busy crossroads. This event was created to help diplomats to plan for all those upcoming VIP visits and diplomatic receptions.”
The prime venue location of Central Hall Westminster, located opposite Westminster Abbey, overlooking the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, was ideal for visiting officers to London’s diplomatic missions. The venue’s on site technical event production and creative staging partner, Eclipse Presentations, excelled in their sponsorship, preparing the building and event with stunning audio and visual effects.
A total of 187 diplomatic delegates had the chance to meet, face-to-face, with event industry experts from more than 50 different hotels, venues and event suppliers.
As a long standing partner to the Expo, Managing Director Paul Southern said: “We are the proud host of Expo 2013. The exhibition gave us a great opportunity to showcase the venue’s 22 event facilities and introduce our outstanding service partners, Eclipse Presentations and KUDOS catering to our clients. ”
