Heritage venue

Since opening in 1912, Central Hall Westminster has been synonymous with landmark broadcasts and historic moments that have shaped the modern world. The building has long served as a stage for significant events, from hosting the first-ever meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in 1946 to providing a rooftop vantage point for five national and international TV and radio broadcasters covering the State Funeral of the late HM Queen, Elizabeth the II, swiftly followed by six broadcasters covering the Coronation of HM King Charles III.

With its distinctive Viennese baroque architecture and the largest self-supporting domed ceiling in Europe, the Great Hall offers a visually stunning backdrop that has captivated audiences for over a century. This rich heritage of hosting world-changing events continues today, making Central Hall Westminster the natural choice for broadcasters seeking a venue with a proven track record of delivering exceptional productions to millions of viewers worldwide.
