Advanced audio-visual technology
The Great Hall is equipped with state-of-the-art AV facilities, including:
- A 20′ edgeless floating screen, fed by a 15,000 lumen HD Christie Projector.
- A completely versatile in-house lighting rig, combining generic LED fixtures, moving head fixtures and LED washes.
- An extensive control and distribution system for routing video and audio signals throughout the Hall.
-Impressive rigging capabilities with eight 800kg SWL hoists. - Leading on from our Grand Staircase, the Grand Hall foyers can be set up to be used as cloakroom facilities too.

Since opening to the public, our London concert venue has welcomed some of the world’s most distinguished artists and performers on stage.
Some of our most notable concerts and performances to date include:
- 1968: Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first public performance of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
- 2008: Sigur Ros, whose concert here sold out in 20 minutes.
- 2011: Laura Marling, awarded Best Female Solo Artist at the Brit Awards & Bryan Ferry, performing at the Laureus World Sports Awards.
- 2012: Robin Gibb, The Titanic Requiem.
- 2015: Sennheiser Live In Concert.
- 2014 – 2019: New Year’s Eve BBC concerts featuring Bryan Adams, Gary Barlow, Queen + Adam Lambert, Robbie Williams, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Madness and Craig David.
- 2018: Katie Melua with the Gori Women’s Choir & Sir Karl Jenkins – The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.
- 2019: Oscar House Event – Eid El Adha.
- 2020: Suron Ki Mehfil Bollywood musical.
